Thank you for my welcome gift to content masters, I received two of the Nyx professional makeup epic liners in Comic Yellow 💛 and Chartreuse Flash 💚. So I used the Chartreuse Flash liner on this Steampunk makeup look over on Instagram for a collab.
Struggling to make that wing pop on hooded lids? No worries, I’ve got you covered with some simple steps!
Start with the Right Tools: I use the epic ink liner – you’ll have more control, especially for precision around the tricky hooded areas.
Map Out Your Wing: Look straight ahead into a mirror. Draw a small line extending from the outer corner, angling it towards the end of your brow. Keeping your eyes open while mapping out your wing helps create a flick that won’t disappear when your eyes are open!
Focus on the Outer Half of Your Lid: Keep the liner close to your lashes on the outer half of your eye. Try not to cover the entire lid with liner – a thin, subtle line towards the center will keep your eyes looking lifted.
Fill in the Flick: Once your wing is mapped, fill in the outline carefully. Make sure the wing isn’t too thick at the outer edge – hooded eyes look best with a smaller flick.
Check and Adjust: With hooded eyes, sometimes the liner can look different when your eyes are open vs. closed. Adjust as needed until you’re happy with the look!
Pro Tip: Adding a bit of highlight to the inner corner of your eye and keeping mascara focused on the outer lashes helps open up the eye even more!
